I tried numerous times to reinstall it and then uninstall it but to not refuses to run or to uninstall. Then, a few days ago I downloaded it again with the intent of using it and uninstalling it-and it refused to work/open at all. BTW - /i means "install" and /q means "quiet". When I was distributing software, I found it easier to always use the full path for both the package and the transform, using quotes around the path. Otherwise, you'll need to use "msiexec.exe /i "path/to/package.msi" /q TRANSFORMS="path/to/transform.mst". So, if you're using a GPO to distribute this package, you can specify the transform when you add the software to the GPO. Here's a good link from Microsoft - (WS.10).aspx You might want to get familiar with the msiexec.exe command line parameters. You have to tell Windows Installer what package to install and what transforms to use during the install. When you run an MSI installation package, it doesn't automatically use an MST if it exists in the same directory. It would be great if somebody could help. I have tried using a bat file to install and that works fine but I want to use the msi file so it doesn't install everytime a client reboots his/her computer. It still asks me for the install location, that is answered in the MST file.

I downloaded the exe file, used the "%UserProfile%\Desktop\AdbeRdr910_en_US.exe" -nos_ne to get the msi file.įor anyone interested XP put the files under "%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Reader 9.1" I got a license to distribute Adobe Reader within our network.
